As we prepare to review the competing manifestos for General Election 2010, I thought it would be nice to re-post the manifestos from the General Election 2007 for comparison.

Click on the following links for the 2010 manifestos:

Click here for the 2007 COP, PNM and UNC-A manifestos.  The files are large, so they've been compressed using 7-Zip 4.65, which is available for free download at: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html (various operating systems supported).

After you've downloaded and installed 7-Zip, you'll be able to open the compressed file - entitled Manifestos_2007.7z - and extract the manifestos.  To extract all files from Manifestos_2007.7z, right-click the file, point to 7-Zip, and then click the Extract files... command item (this is for Windows).

I expect the process is similar for other operating systems, but to be honest if you're using another operating system, you're probably smart enough to figure out how to extract the files on your own (no offense intended, Windows users).

If you have problems, drop me a comment below.

To kick-off the review, here's Andre Bagoo's article in the Newsday (12 May 2010).

For every election the PNM make promises after promises but seldom deliver. And when they do it is used as a cover up to fill their pockets first and to hell with whom else suffer. Are we really that stupid to fall for this crap again? We made this mistake for so many years. Are we that dumb to not learn and make the right choices this time? Are we not encouraging servitude upon ourselves? We are holding back the power we have in our hands to govern this country by blindly voting along racial and party lines. And this has to stop. The country and I mean we the people will never see prosperity or have progress if we allow this disease to spread. It will eat away the strength we have to fight for our survival and leave us as slaves, just waiting to be oppressed by the next dictator. By not realizing that only we can shape our life and in so doing the destiny of our country, otherwise we will become breeding grounds for the next Hitler or Idi Amin.
