No laughing matters!

The other day a child was laughing
where I work and the comment was
made that it has been a long time
since we heard such free laughter
on the floor...

The truth is as adults we are not
expected to laugh but to take our
lives seriously. In fact, in most
cases, uncontrollable laughter is
frowned upon...

Ever wonder why we dont hear about
more children suffering from high
blood pressure, stress related or
nervous breakdowns? Its partly as
they tend to laugh more...

Laughter stimulates the production
of endorphins. Yes, the same kind
of endorphins production we get in
exercise and orgasms. Want to get
a natural "feel good" high, laugh...

Blood flowing to our brain and to
our hearts has been proven to be
improved by adding some laughter
to our mental diets. In fact, in
some recoveries, laughter is key...

Did you know that even if you were
born unable to see, hear or speak,
can still laugh. It is as natural a
mechanism to us as breathing, yet we
stifle our laughter regularly...

Laughter assists us psychologically
by allowing us a mechanism or release
by which we do not take ourselves or
our mistakes too seriously, hence we
laugh in embarrassment or relief...

The thought provoking nature of jokes
also help us think. Through humour we
can learn and retain more quicker. In
fact, may sitcoms and cartoons enforce
life lessons to younger audiences...

It is contagious. We laugh and others
laugh with us, or at us. Thus it is a
riddle whether we laugh at funny things
or are things funnier because we and
others laugh at them...

Laughter can also help us to breathe
more deeply, enhancing the flow of
oxygen to our brains and bodies. If
used in tandem with tickling and a
little chase can also become a happy
and wonderfully intimate exercise...

With so many wonderful benefits, what
is stopping you from laughing out loud
right now, where ever you are? Remember
you have one life and you choose how to
live it! What ever you decide I personally
will be, laughing at, I mean with, YOU!
