Okay so I'm still upset about the killing of Peter

November 20, 2009 by Bertrand Bhikarry

The fact of the matter is I have been unable to write , well maybe more like unable to think since Peter was 'taken'. In the last fortnight  I've run the gamut of snide Trini responses like 'he shoulda stayed in Germany", He musta been involved" and so much of what I'm sure you've heard elsewhere.

Not being able to concentrate on the abstracts of life, as writer types do, I realized only today what I had done. Sometime in the last fortnight I actually made a homemade crossbow using locally found materials, a bit of Internet for the assembly details, and some DIY skills somewhere about the level most (single)  housewives have in their finger tips.

This morning, after two weeks of imaginary killings and maimings of imaginary trespassers and bandits and other evils, I'm ready to write once more. Sometimes doing, creating  things kind of helps.  I've decided instead of chasing recalcitrants and rogue police, I'll just support whatever move is on for a better community.

Those of you who feel like it and would prefer to not have a anarchy and other not nice evolutions descend on your life, please join a community organization in your area and get involved. Its the secret.

The crossbow? I destroyed it at 2.am today in the final and complete act of cleansing my brain. But damn it worked fine! The next one I must not make cannot have a trigger mechanism. That was the illegal part of the assembly.  I hope it does not take another 'Peter' to trigger that next spurt of creativity.

Was the crossbow of the leaf spring variety? I made one of those in the 90s. Quite destructive and yet accurate.

Community organizations... I dunno. I'd prefer people get informed independently, think independently and act independently in a democracy. But that's just my opinion. :-)

...within the system - the one we conform to most hours of the day, requires working the rules and modifying democratically. That said You'd be surprised how many independent souls comprise CIVICUS. They just know the only way is the team way. How else is the tribe to survive as group?
While the quick response is 'gangs, who needs em?' Look around and count the few hermits on this rock. The roads we got, the schools, because MANY made the noises. Single cry on the hilltop is no use these days.
.............
Bow - bi-axially hand laid fiberglass strips and Dexion angles spaced and bolted. Old circular saw blades cut for -- you know. Strips innocuously to garden shed bits in three steps. I tell you with PVC around the firearm is a dated device. (someone ought to show/help the homeowners how to really protect their spaces). Crimestoppers?

Accuracy and firepower - I sincerely think bad guys if even in kevlar vests cannot walk away from even at one twice the distance you'd scoff at a short barrel bandouk.

Umm.

Well, forming organizations is one way to form a democracy. But that only adds weight to lobbyism, so I'm opposed because of that.

Nice notes on the crossbow.
