Two interestingly unconnected things in the news in the last 2 days:
In todays news, in all the newspapers, there are reports of the 'execution-styled killing of prisons officer Ian Seegobin'. There are some interesting things to consider - a month ago, according to the Trinidad Guardian, the victim had received death threats. The Trinidad Express reports 4 gunshot wounds. Newsday reports that the late Mr. Seegobin was shot 6 times. They all agree that the victim is dead; they all agree that sources say that this was a hit ordered from behind Golden Grove Prison's walls.
What was not mentioned in these articles is that just one day ago, there was a guard held for being in possession with a quantity of marijuana, a cell phone, several cell phone chargers, packets of cigarettes, and a number of razor blades. {Read more}
