According to news reports, the National Carnival Committee (NCC) is due to announce which media house has won the tender for exclusive rights to broadcast Carnival events.  As a result, media houses may be setting themselves up for a repeat of the brouhaha between CNMG and Gayelle that occurred in 2010.

I know we've come to expect bacchanal for Carnival, but it doesn't have to be that way.  I'd like to suggest an alternative for NCC's consideration.

Everyone likes award shows and rankings so what I've done (in true Trinbagonian mimicry) is to borrow and bastardize a phrase from FOX's flagship commentator Bill O'Reilly's book (Pinheads and Patriots) together with our very own Kevin Baldeosingh's satirical character (Peter Permhead) to come up with my very own top five list

Jeremy Matouk hosted a live panel discussion on the CLICO bailout on Monday 4th Oct 2010 on CNC3.  The guests included Junior Finance Minister Dr Patrick Watson, CLICO Policyholders Group Deputy Chairman Peter Permell and President of the Association of T&T Insurance Companies (ATTIC) Douglas Camacho.
