I came to San Fernando by birth and my current home by plane. I received formal education at San Fernando's Presentation College, St Augustine's UWI, England's University of Westminster, and Scotland's University of Edinburgh, but am equally shaped by the informal education and values from all of my family, friends and the people I meet. I've worked in many different roles within the IT field for 17 years, in T&T and Europe. Lately, I've taken up photography as a hobby (in addition to this blog), so you can find some examples of my work-in-progress on Flickr.com.
I write here for several reasons. It maintains my links to T&T while I'm overseas, allows me to give more detail and Internet source links underlying the stuff I submit as Letters to the Editor in the daily newspapers, allows me to bring my knowledge and experience to bear on T&T's national issues and facilitates an open and more immediate discussion about them. I encourage you to join the discussion through the use of the 'Add new comment' feature at the bottom of every article I write: the value is not in what I write, but what we share. Look for me on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/edmund.gall
And if I can wash a doubles down with coconut water for breakfast everyday, I'd do so (non-Trinbagonians can check here for an explanation of what this means http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doubles_%28food%29).
